Overview

The verification process is a mandatory security requirement that all vendor personnel must complete before gaining access to GridColo facilities. This process is more comprehensive than customer staff verification, as vendor personnel must complete both ID verification and a background check.

The verification process ensures that only authorized, properly vetted individuals can access sensitive data center locations to perform vendor services. Your verification status is tracked per GridColo site, meaning you must be verified for each location where you need access.

Verification Workflow

Receive Invitation

Get enrollment invitation from your Vendor Admin with enrollment code and PIN

Enrollment

Complete enrollment using enrollment code and PIN to create your portal account

Upload ID

Upload required ID documents - ensure documents are clear, complete, and not expired

ID Review

Security staff reviews your ID documents to verify authenticity and validity

Background Check

If ID is approved, complete the comprehensive background check form with all required information

Final Review

Security staff reviews your complete verification package including ID and background check

Approval/Rejection

Receive approval or rejection notification via email and in the portal

Appeal Process

If rejected, you can submit an appeal with additional documentation to contest the decision

Verification Status Types

Pending ID

Need to upload ID documents - this is your starting status

Pending Background

ID approved, need to complete background check form

Pending Review

Under review by security staff - your complete package is being evaluated

Approved

Verification approved - you can now proceed to badge ordering and site access

Rejected

Verification rejected - you can submit an appeal with additional documentation

Appeal Process

If your verification is rejected, you have the right to appeal the decision. The appeal process allows you to provide additional documentation or clarification that may address the reasons for rejection.

Physical Access Blocking

If your background check is rejected, your physical access to GridColo sites will be immediately blocked. However, you may still have portal access to submit an appeal and communicate with support staff. To regain access, you must submit a successful appeal with additional documentation that addresses the rejection reasons.
