Who we are and what this covers
GridColo is a service of GridSite Technology Inc. ("GridSite," "we," "us"). This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through the GridColo website, including inquiry forms, newsletter sign-up, and the website administration area.
This policy is limited to the website. It does not govern, and accepting it does not authorize:
- Contracted service administration. Account, billing, and service records for customers are handled under the applicable service agreement.
- Customer workload data. Data that customers store or process on equipment in a GridColo facility is controlled by the customer and governed by their agreement.
- Facility access and biometrics. Visitor screening, badging, and any biometric collection at a site are handled through separate site notices and any required consent process. Nothing in this website policy authorizes biometric collection.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Inquiries. When you submit a contact, capacity, tour, partner, or site submission form, we collect what you enter, such as your name, work email, company, phone number, and details about your requirements or property.
- Newsletter. If you choose to subscribe, we collect your email address.
- Administrator accounts. Authorized GridSite staff who sign in to the website administration area provide account credentials.
Information collected automatically
- Request and security data. Our hosting provider processes standard request information such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested in order to deliver pages and protect the site. When you submit a form we record the page it was submitted from.
- Optional analytics. Only if you allow analytics, we collect aggregated usage information such as pages viewed, referring site, device type, and interactions with calls to action. See Cookies and similar technologies.
How we use information
- To respond to your inquiry, evaluate requirements or properties, and arrange tours or follow-up.
- To send the newsletter you requested, until you ask us to stop.
- To operate, secure, and troubleshoot the website, including preventing spam and abuse.
- With your permission, to understand how the website is used and improve it.
- To comply with law and enforce our terms.
Submitting an inquiry does not sign you up for marketing. Newsletter subscription is a separate, optional choice. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
How information is shared
We share personal information only as needed to run the website and respond to you:
- Service providers that process information on our behalf: Vercel (website hosting and, if you allow it, web analytics), Neon (database storage for submitted inquiries), and Resend (delivery of internal inquiry notifications).
- GridSite personnel and affiliates who need the information to respond to your request.
- Legal and safety disclosures when required by law or to protect rights, property, or safety.
- Business transfers, such as a merger or acquisition, subject to this policy.
Cookies and similar technologies
We group the technologies this website uses into two categories:
- Necessary (always on). Required to deliver pages, protect forms, keep signed-in administrators signed in (a session cookie set only for the administration area), and remember your cookie choice (stored in your browser for up to 12 months).
- Analytics (off unless you allow it). Vercel Web Analytics measures page views and interactions in aggregate. It does not set cookies. It does not load, and our own interaction events are not sent, until you choose Accept all or turn Analytics on.
This website does not use preference, advertising, or marketing technologies, and does not embed third-party maps, video, or chat tools. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your choice again.
Changing or withdrawing your choice
You can change your choice at any time through Cookie Preferences, available in the footer of every page or here: . Withdrawing consent stops future optional analytics and clears related first-party browser storage. It does not automatically delete information already collected; to request deletion, make a privacy request.
Retention
We keep inquiry records for as long as needed to respond, maintain a record of business communications, and meet legal obligations, and then delete or de-identify them. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Aggregated analytics do not identify individual visitors.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect personal information, including encrypted connections and restricted access to inquiry records. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you, or receive a copy.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your information.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent you previously gave.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To exercise a right, make a privacy request. We may need to verify your identity before acting on it. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization.
California and opt-out signals
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under California law. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as a request to opt out of any such sale or sharing. A missing signal is never treated as consent to optional analytics; that remains off until you allow it.
International visitors
GridSite is based in the United States. If you contact us from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate.
Children
This website is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children under 16.
Changes to this policy
We will post updates here and change the effective date above. If we add optional technologies or new purposes, we will ask for your cookie choice again.
Contact and privacy requests
Submit privacy requests and questions through our contact form with the Privacy request topic selected. Requests are recorded and routed to GridSite staff for follow-up.
