Implementation and acceptance
Acceptance confirms that what was agreed has been delivered. This guide explains the record.
The acceptance record
- Prerequisites: what had to be in place first
- Deliverables: what was agreed
- Roles: who tested and who accepted
- Test evidence: the results that support acceptance
- Exceptions: open items, each with an owner
Platform versus facility readiness
A configured platform, a delivered customer service, and facility readiness are distinct. One can be complete while another is still in progress. Identify which scope each test and acceptance record covers; a portal workflow test does not commission physical infrastructure or establish commercially available capacity.
Before testing, confirm prerequisites, agreed criteria, evidence sources, and who may accept the result. Record failed or incomplete items explicitly, with an owner and the agreed resolution or exception disposition. Do not turn an unresolved issue into an implicit pass.
At handoff, provide the applicable service identifiers, approved contacts, support and escalation instructions, operating boundaries, and remaining exception record. Confirm the next review or action required by the agreement. Acceptance does not by itself determine billing; the order defines advance, milestone, and recurring charge triggers.
