Maintenance and change
Planned work, whether facility maintenance or a customer change, follows the same basic record. This guide describes its fields.
A change record
- Purpose: why the work is needed
- Affected service: what may be impacted
- Authority and approvals: who requested it and who approved it
- Risk: what could go wrong
- Window: when the work will happen
- Work owner: who coordinates execution within the approved scope
- Test and stop/rollback reference: identify the approved procedure and decision authority, not technical instructions in a public request
- Evidence: expected completion record, exceptions, affected records, and who receives the outcome
Notifications and results
Affected parties are notified before the work, according to your agreement. After the work, the result is recorded and any records it affects, such as circuit or inventory records, are updated.
