- Participant: an organization that uses the GridColo framework under an agreement
- Operator: the party that operates a facility day to day
- Provider: a party that delivers a defined service, such as maintenance or connectivity
- Capability profile: a record of what a participant or provider can deliver, and where
- Service order: the document that specifies services, quantities, and prices
- Acceptance: the recorded confirmation that a service is ready
- Demarcation: the point where one party's responsibility ends and another's begins
- White label: delivering the framework under the operator's own brand
- Assurance: the reviews that check a participant continues to meet agreed requirements
- Capacity: an amount of space or power, always stated with its unit
- Availability: whether capacity can be contracted, and when
